Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Man, it seems like that was a long time ago! Been a lonnnng seven months or so.
You guys all better now? Hope Steve doesn't come down with it next!
To: RosieCotton
Just talked to Steve and he sounded fine...ours has pretty much gone to the residual side effects...cough, sniffles, but not that agonizing swollen-eyes inflamed nose business we just endured.

I don't know why that post of mine showed up twice. My computer has been acting sorta hinky this afternoon. I finally did lay down and slept for a couple of hours, but woke up with the same headache. I made myself a bowl of instant rice noodle soup, and put some cooked chicken in it, so I feel a little better, but still have my headache. I think it's hormonal, cause Advil ain't doing a thing for it!

My headache's mostly gone. Went out for a pretty long walk this afternoon, though it was the last thing I felt like doing, and I think it helped. Still feel like my balance isn't quite right, but that's much better than this morning.
To: RosieCotton
Oh, and I'm glad you got a chance to talk with your Dad.

I really miss that Excedrin stuff...for migraines, there's nothing that predictably helps, unfortunately.
Hope you feel better soon!

*smiles*
Yeah, that was nice!

I can't watch 24! I've honestly tried, but the camera moves around and it makes my vertigo act up! LOL!!

I wanna watch it one of these days...
What does the camera do? It isn't one of those shows where it looks like the camera work is done by a drunk, is it?
Heh...I used to watch NYPD Blue on occasion, wayyyyy back in the first season or so. The way they filmed everything all jumpy really got to me, though. Almost couldn't hack it, and I don't have a vertigo problem!
To: Ramius
Evenin'!
East coast folks are all watching 24 right now, apparently. Kinda quiet 'round here...
To: RosieCotton
Nice!
...Haven't heard from my dad in weeks, even though I've written emails to him...he used to write me at least every other week or so. I've wondered if maybe he's dead. I'm writing this in white because I have another brother who freeps who is mad at me now because he shut down my email box with pictures and I asked him not to. Haven't heard from him since before Christmas. I don't think he knows about white.

I'm really lucky...my family may not be perfect, but they're really pretty wonderful, for the most part. ;-)
...Hope you hear from your Dad soon! It's nuts how your family treats you. In my case, I'm just glad I was able to talk my plans over with Dad. Makes me feel a lot better about 'em, silly though that may be!
To: RosieCotton
We're DVRing it so that when we start watching, we can zoom through the commercials. It's great watching it that way.
There's a lot of use of hand-held cameras, so it gives it a more realistic look.

Well...I could probably live with it, but I've never liked the handheld camera effect. Just makes me feel woozy!
To: RosieCotton; 2Jedismom
It's the times when they go to the handheld cameras. Gives a sense of you-are-there realism... or so they say.

I guess I walk different than the average camera guy... ;-)
To: RosieCotton
Heh heh! I told Steve last night that where ever the jedis move, I'm going too...6 months with one, six with the other if need be!
...Then he said "What if they don't want you to?" and I lost it. Just almost went hysterical, I think...I cried so hard. He started saying "I'm sure that won't happen! I'm sure it won't!"
