Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

heheh... no crisis... just a reminder that one doesn't need to have kids to have really nasty fluid projectiles now and then.
At least it was in the kitchen. :-)
In other news... the server problem that was haunting me all weekend is fixed. [whew] Thanks to a couple of guys that got to spend an all-nighter last night.

Pets are ~very~ good practice for kids. They're basically the same...except you can't leave the kids behind when you leave the house.
Just kidding...mostly. ;-)
And a big Woo-HOO!! re: the server problem.
In other news, looks like the Seahawks will be facing the Steelers in the SuperBowl. *grin*

Stretcher? No. You roll pasta out with it and then it's got a cutter that cuts the stuff.
To: RMDupree
Yah... I've had the game on, for some of it anyway. Looks like they're cleaning Carolina's clock.
This might be their year. The Steelers go to the super bowl all the time but don't win... :-)
We'll see...

Good thing you didn't have to hang a ladder in your garage. It's a good thing I didn't have a mouthful of soda or adult beverage. I'd have blown it out a nostril. LOL
To: Ramius
They're moving the cooler of Gatorade closer to the coach. hehehehe....
Two and half minutes to go.

Hehehe....
Good thing you didn't have to go to Chuck E Cheese Hell.
To: Ramius
*snort* I'll bet.
They'll have to bring their best game to beat the Steelers in Detroit. Pittsburgh is ~hungry~ this year.

Here you go, Sam. The SOCOM II M1A with Smith Enterprises flash hider, Vltor telescoping stock system. Just add ammo, and blast away. What more could you want in a boat gun?
To: Ramius
*sigh*
Halvah barfed on the bed this morning. I'd already washed my other blanket and had been meaning to do the comforter, but...she coulda timed it better. The laundry room on a Sunday afternoon is like Grand Central Station during rush hour. Or something. In the end, I took it out of the dryer partially damp. Hope it's dry *enough*.

What more could you want in a boat gun?Whoa! That looks like it could do some real damage to aquatic critters.

This was sent to me via a Yahoo group. It was news to me; if you don't want Yahoo tracking you hither and yon across the Internet, follow the instructions ...
If you belong to Yahoo Group, be aware that Yahoo is now using "Web Beacons" to track the Internet navigation of every Yahoo user. Beacons are similar to cookies, but allow Yahoo to record every website and every group you visit ANYWHERE on the Internet, even when you're not connected to Yahoo.
To stop this privacy invasive surveillance, go to Yahoo's updated privacy statement at: http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy. About half-way down the page, in the section on cookies, you will see a link that says web beacons.
Click on the phrase "Web Beacons." On the page that opens, find a paragraph entitled "Outside the Yahoo Network."
In that section find the "Click Here to Opt Out" link that will let you "opt-out" of their snooping. Be careful NOT to click the button shown on the resulting 'You have opted out successfully' page. It is a "Cancel Opt-out" button that, if clicked, will UNDO the opt-out. Be warned!
Important!
Yahoo's monitoring -- and your ability to opt-out of it -- is NOT user-specific. It is MACHINE and BROWSER specific. This means you will have to set the cookie to 'Opt-out' on every computer and every browser you use to access Yahoo and the rest of the Internet.
