Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

"Pinch of Salt" Precious. :-D
I wouldn't think the way the pasta's cut would affect the taste of it.

Mmm...homemade pasta...
Who cares if it's absolutely straight? I sure wouldn't...

I'm heading out in a few for a concert - Nickel Creek and also just Chris Thile playing with Mike Marshall. All of which prolly means nothing to everyone here 'cept me. ;-)
Bought the ticket well before Christmas, back when I thought I'd have a job by now. Oh well. I think it'll be worth it anyhow...if'n I can find the place!

I don't know who any of those people/bands are, but I hope you have a blast, chica!

Heh...see, in my own way I know all kinda musicians...I just like a lot of stuff that isn't quite on the beaten track.
Fifteen more minutes 'til I head out...
Grr...I've been going pretty much all day and I'm all wound up right now.

Heh...
The only claim I made was that it's ugly.
Should taste okay.
To: RosieCotton; Overtaxed
"Butt Ugly Pasta" would be a good name for a band.

Tastes okay. Along with being crooked, I didn't quite roll it out thin enough so it's a bit on the
al dente side.
Need to get one of these:

Evenin'
Let's just say all that complainin' I did last night shoulda been saved fer today.
Luke had a birthday party to go to at Chucky Cheese. Being the only ambulatory licensed driver in the household, the task fell to me. Alas, it was not an "official" Chuck Cheese party.
What does that mean? Only that since it's not "official" the waitstaff can't identify the party in question. I had never met these people.
So, in a room full of 200 munchkins and assorted parental/guradian types, ~Luke~ was the only one who knew who we were looking for.
To embrace the experience, visualize turning an alcoholic loose in a liquor store...and asking him to find the peanut butter.
Eventually he found his friend and we had the, um, ~usual~ enjoyable Chucky Cheese experience.
In other news...
Nana's arthritis in her hands has "suddenly" gotten a lot worse. And she's not making this up. Her hands are red and swollen. We think the variable may be the brace the doctor prescribed, but that wouldn't affect both hands. We're calling both doctors in the a.m. Even though they are communicating, we're not too comfortable with the fact that two doctors are treating the same problem.
Also...
We had all but decided that Jr. would not go back to Brazil this summer. But danged if he didn't go and get himself a partial scholarship from the Missions Dept.
But, the good news is that our small group (the wine people) have already discussed it and plan to help him get the rest of his money together to go.
So, there's that.
;-)
And finally...
Izzit 24 yet? Izzit 24 yet? Izzit 24 yet? Izzit 24 yet?

Okay, who put "What's for dinner Corin?" in the keywords?

Good thing you didn't have to hang a ladder in your garage.

I have the good sense to not even own an extension ladder.

Um...er....OH! I know what you mean about Chuck E Cheese. I won't set foot in the place unless I absolutely, positively no-way-to-get-out-of-it-short-of-death have to.
The dinging and ringing and clanging in that evil place puts me over the edge quick.
