The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 01/16/2006 6:56:15 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You know, there are quite a few folks in RL who don't know that side of me. I'm pretty good at foolin' them...

I didn't see that...

Anyway, I prefer "evil" to "mean" as a character description. I'm evil.

She announces that she's made butt-ugly pasta, but doesn't give us any ~details~.

And most importantly, does it still taste good?

*laughing*

I'm not many folks. Bwahaha.

Evil can be a career enhancement, when your long-term goals include world domination.

Shaquille O'Neil is going to have a problem walking through your garage.

Colubus sailed the ocean blue...

Behind him lay the grey Azores,
Behind, the Gates of Hercules,Before him, not the ghosts of shores,
Before, him, only shoreless seas.

We've been in the garage this afternoon, too, moving frap around.

We had tp do some of that as well. Wet drywall makes a durn mess.

It was a great movie. Truly great. Clever. Sinister. Hilarious. Great.

I bought it for Becky, along with The Cinderella Story (Hilary Duff).

So I can claim an excuse! *smile*

What happened to it?

Right now it's drying...except for what I'm planning on cooking tonight.

I dont' have one of those nifty pasta machines so I cut it all by hand. My linguini is not straight.

It should still taste good (going to find out) unless I didn't put enough salt in it. The recipe says "pinch of salt."
