You know, this comment actually does make sense, if you think about it. It simply means it was all up to luck, to chance, to the infintesimal difference because one ate pizza and one ate salad. In other words, who knows why? I remember when she said it and I understood it instantly, but then Ryan made a big deal out of it. Maybe because Seacrest is a little too slow to pick up on subtleties like that? ;o)
The glaring problem with that whole episode was the reaction of the contestants, who were standing in front of the guillotine waiting for it to come down on them, and she's vamping about nonsense.
