Set a time when no guests can come over.
We always had "family time" at our house when nobody else was there.
Don't feed him. If you already have, next time you have him over and the meal is done, put all the plates on the floor for the dog to lick clean, then let him see you put them back in the cabinet. I'm guessing he won't show up again.
