Born and raised in Citrus Heights, CA, Mandisa moved to Nashville to study singing at Fisk University. She has performed with such artists as Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill and Charlie Daniels.

Wow, I didn't know that. I would love to hear her back up to Charlie Daniels. That would be cool. One of the best concerts I ever went to was a Charlie Daniels one. Sang for 2 1/2 hours and the crowd stayed on their feet.
