Oh McPhee has her beat in that department (but I'm partial to dark hair girls :)

McPhee looks like a younger Catherine Zeta-Jones. And she's got one of the best voices. I just wish she'd, I dunno, wake up or something. I keep feeling like she's phoning it in. Her "passion" is phony.

Bottom three Pickle; Kinnik; Ayla

The pickle will make the top 5. Not on talent, but because of the puppy dog factor. The top 5 will be Pickle, Mandisa, Chris, Talyor, and McPhever, with Pickle and Taylor being knocked off first.

McPhee is gorgeous in the face, but she needs to drop 15 pounds to match the rest of CZJ.

Mandisa - Rocked last night. [But I wish she should have been the one to sing 'Think'.]

Lisa - good

Katherine - OK but that just wasn't a good song for her to sing.

Paris - WTF was she thinking?

Ayla- ok but not much range in that song.

Kinnik - Why is she still on the show? (And I'm I the only one that thinks she looks like a guy?)

Melissa - I think she did really good but she was drown out by the backup singers.

Kellie - Good but not great.

Another thing, why does Randy always call the women "dude" or "dog" or "man"? That really annoys me.

And would someone PLEASE tell Randy that the Arsenio Hall "whoot-whoot-whoot" thing is dumb-dumb-dumb!!

She's doing a Jessica Simpson schtick..."Chicken of the Sea isn't really chicken?"

I'm sorry but the "saLmon" thing was over the top. It HAS to be an act and it's getting very annoying to me. She's cute and has much more personality than Carrie but is no where in the same league vocally. She'll sail through though........

Simon is going to lock Mandisa and Reuben in a hotel room for a weekend in order to produce the winner of American Idol 2025

We seem to have the reverse of last season, where we had to cut deserving guys to make room for undeserving girls. Other than Kinnik, who in my mind clearly has to go, the other seven have done well enough over the last three weeks to merit making the top 12. Only six will make it.

For the night, here's my breakdown:

I see no need to make any changes right now to the girls' overall rankings:

Now... to the question of who should go... one is easy: Kinnik. The other one is a bit tougher. As strange as it sounds, if it were up to me, I would choose Mandisa as the odd woman out. It's not that I think she's the worst of the seven - far from it - but I can see any of the other six putting it together to win the whole thing, but I don't believe Mandisa can -- between her look and her age (which starts working against the gals after they top 24 or 25).

So, call that my long-shot prediction. My hedge bet will be that Simon successfully sabotages Melissa, and she joins Kinnik on the AI exit ramp.

I think it'll be Kinnik gone this week along with...probably Melissa(or Ayla if not Melissa.)

I agree. I don't think Ayla's heart is really in this, but it seems to mean a lot more to Melissa. I'd like to see her make it to the finals, at least.

7 Lisa Tucker 2.5157-

Lisa in the bottom two? That could be interesting.

My wrap-up after a night of sleep:

Paris - Quith Randy, "a'ight". Not great, not bad. Just okay.

Lisa - Ditto

Melissa - good rockin song but just not good enough. Despite Simon's obvious pushing/stomping all damn night, he was right on this one.

Kinnik - Ditto to Simon again. Buh-bye.

Katherine - I thought she was very, very good. She is a beautiful girl as well. She could do very well if she ever figures out what kind of singer she is.

Ayla - Good. Better than Paris or Lisa IMHO.

Mandisa - Absolutely great. That is a tough song to nail and she did. Wonderful. No way she wins though. America can take a fat guy but won't accept a girl...JMHO

Kellie - same song as last week. Repititous and just okay. The dumb Southern blonde schtick it old, boring and, well, pointless. She's not anywhere near as good as Carrie. She has more personality but is twice as annoying. It is blatantly obvious that Simon is pushing her. I just wonder why he would want a duplicate? $$$ I guess...

The Best: Mandisa and Katherine

Pretty good: Ayla, Lisa, Kellie and Paris.

Good bye and good luck: Melissa and Kinnik.

Frankly, none of the girls except for Mandisa hold my interest musically. I just hope the guys are better tonight. I am really looking forward to hearing Chris.

Morning, Hetty :)

I'm not sure if I'm just in a bad mood tonight or if that really was a bunch of the most terminally boring performances I've seen in years.

It wasn't just you. Last night was a yawn-fest!

And I am sick of them all kowtowing to Paris. Boring performance. If anyone else had turned that in they would have ripped her a new one.

Yes! Amen! What hold does this girl's grandmother have on the judges, particularly Randy??? It's like they're scared to say a negative word about her. Paris + Gloria Estefan = terrible performance. That simple.

(McPhee) A galloping case of "white chick trying to sing soul" tonight.

But I enjoyed the gallop :-P

I'm likin' the guys better and better.

Going back to what you said about the judges being annoying--I think they're making sure the "dead weight" is dropped before they reach the Top 12. For the girls, it's Kinnik, Ayla and Melissa.

Tonight, look for the judges to be especially brutal toward Pee Wee, Wonder Years and possibly Bucky.

Mandisa and McPhee are the top 2 gals. Your top gal Lisa may very well be on the bubble on Thursday. I don't think she will go, but don't be surprised if she is one of the girls standing on stage when Ryan announces who is going home. She is not safe. Mandisa will be safe early.

Probably the strongest selection of girls. There are some real babes in this group and they can sing. I really can't see any of the guys outside of Chris and Taylor even having a shot at the top 5. I thought maybe Ace, but he hasn't shown the vocals is coming across as too wimpy.

Allow me a moment to let that sink in ...

Ah okay :)

I don't know--to me she looked like she was petrified the past couple of weeks (from either stage fright or her stage-mom). Last night, she tried very hard to stand out in her performance and she also took the time to debunk the rumors that are floating around about her (that she's pregnant, that's she's quitting the show, etc.)

I think she finally woke up this week and realized she's in a competition, not just a TV show.

Oh my, have you not listened to Elliot. Get past his looks, he has the best voice, even better then Taylor, of them all. Taylor is great and was my first pick at the start, but I've got to say that Elliot sings better. He needs a really good song choice tonight, something people can relate to tho. Last weeks was great, but the song doesn't get the audience involved.

Paris - WTF was she thinking?

LOL!

Kinnik - Why is she still on the show? (And I'm I the only one that thinks she looks like a guy?)

Nope! She definitely has a "post-op" look about her.

Another thing, why does Randy always call the women "dude" or "dog" or "man"?

'cause Randy only has a 20 word vocabulary :)

Elliot slipped my mind. He is a contender, but I don't see him winning.
