Katherine has a great strong voice....but the song sucked.Ella Fitzgerald songs are not the best choices for young people who grew up in the 1990's.

You and I heard bad notes...but obviously even SIMON didn't...
Sometimes I think I don't have the same "hearing" that these judges have...LOL

I must say--McPhee looks STUNNING. If the singing thing doesn't work out, she could go into modeling.

She did really well with that song. Great performance from Katharine. She is starting to become one of my favorites.

"E! runs the THS of Paula Abdul and she's spacey through the whole thing. She's in her own little Paula Abdul universe."
But it's such a beautiful universe.

I'll be the first to admit that I just love Taylor's voice and style, but it looks like he was already on his way to stardom before AI.
Hmmmm...is right.

Well, I'm rethinking Taylor.
Love watching him sing, but it sort of goes against what I thought the show was.
But maybe I'm wrong.

As sick as it sounds, she's too big to be a model. They want women to be a size 4 or smaller.

Simon really has a thing for her Yep. Anyone else having those bad notes and he would have been criticizing them. But, not her, he gives her a pass.

Here's my thing with both Paris and Lisa. They can both sing, there's no doubt about it. They've been groomed to do so since birth. Both will have careers in the business. I just don't think AI is the avenue for them. It's kind of an underdog competition. That's why it's not just about singing, personality, style, and charisma are thrown into the mix as well. There's something very "American" about rooting for the constentant without all the experience.
