Actually, they ruled that the ball was loose BEFORE he knocked it out with his knee. Had the knee caused the ball to be loose, they would have had to rule it a fumble as the roll and attempted stand-up is considered a "football move".

The offsides call on the onside kick at the bowl game Iowa was in, ranks as the worse call this season for me.

The refs haven't really distinguished themselves during these playoffs...

I guess so...you have to agree that it doesn't look like that was the right call.

It certainly looked like an interception from the rules that I was aware of, but the official cited a rule (like the tuck rule) that I had never heard of.

Ok, be happy, just remember there is four minutes left and the Steelers will move the ball. The end is oh so near, and I think you can feel it. But hey, the Colts make a last dith effort that was quite impressive if not commical at times.

He was still in the process of making a "football move".

As a Broncos Fan, I hated that ruling. I want the Broncos at home next week.

What's done is done. Now Ben has to move the ball.

Peyton Manning and Head Referee Caught in Uncompromising Position.

And in a surprise ruling by the Honorable Judge Cashman from Vermont,
no time in fine or probation handed out.

Looks like CBS is the test for NBC's re-entry into the NFL, complete with fixed outcomes like they did with the NBA.

I was watching the game but when the Steelers made it look like a sure thing I came on FR to read the thread. Now I am holding my breath that the Steelers can hold on so the Broncos will be at home next week.

Go Broncos!
