The coach can call for a measurement any time, that stops the clock for a while and gives your team a chance to rest. I can make a good argument for either coach asking for a measurement on that play for the breather.
1st down by a nose. I like this "oh you wanna go for it on 4th Peyton, I'll go for it on 4th you so-and-so."

I don't think Dungee would have been upset at Manning either way. Of course he would have been justified if he were upset if Manning didn't convert. The franchise QB is telling the ownership that the HC isn't worth his paycheck. Manning can say what he wants in public, but when it was time to go all in, he said he wasn't betting on Dungy. This playoff game is bigger than any previous time Manning may have done this.

I'm really not concerned with the relationship between Dungee and Manning. The Colts, IMO, are the Dolphins of the 21st century.
