Great game with the Steelers and the Colts.
That's what is great about the NFL. Anything can happen.
Just don't think the Bears have the horsepower in offense to get things going.
Gotta give Lovey Smith credit for putting together a great record.
NFC North Could be very interesting next year.

I thought the Steelers were the strongest #6 seed I'd ever seen.Possibly, but aren't 6 seeds a pretty recent creation?
To: ShorelineMike
I meant they'd rather face Chicago because they just can't score.

Bears are playing Chorus Line Offense...

Wouldn't it be something - 20 years later one or possibly 2 teams do the same thing?

They began in 1990 and this is the first time one of them has advanced to a conference championship game.

Well it's better than 1, INT.

I was tempted to bet some money on the Steelers. I should have. If I were in Nevada, I would have. I also would have won the Broncos' game, lost my vig on the Seahags/Deadskins game, and gone 2-1 against the over/under.
Of course, I would have blown this game, though the over is still a possibility.

It'd be quite a story. What is ABC going to do with all the Manning footage they had saved up for his Super Bowl appearance?
To: JeffAtlanta
IIRC, they started them in 1992 (give or take a year).

"I'm trying to be a good teammate, but we had some problems with protection..." -- Peyton in post-game.
In response, the NFL has decided that Peyton can use a handgun in the playoffs next season. "Let's see him get sacked and hurried all game, then!" said the NFL official.

To: mainepatsfan
True, same result - just doesn't as much time.

That and their opponent's will only be allowed to control the ball for a maximum of twenty minutes during the game.

I hope you're right, but I have a feeling that the only "excitement" from the NFC North will be whether the Bears make 8-8, or become the first team to make the playoffs in a non-strike year with a losing record.
The Bears' offense is finally starting to make noise.

WTF is going on?
Rex Grossman thinks he's John ELway.
