I think men want the eye candy -- brains, sense of humor, etc. are just bonuses.

I love my husband, but if a woman who looked like that came on to him before we were married, I think I (and our four kids) would be out of the picture.

I also believe that my loving kitty, if she were to grow to a size much larger than mine, would eat me in a heartbeat... after playing with me for a bit.

Some things are just a matter of nature....
