Quit with the wind mills and horrid solar panel farms for one thing.
Stop tying the hands of every farmer who needs to clear out drainage ditches.
Allow good forest management to prevent wildfires.
Plant more trees to deal with CO2 if you’re that concerned about global warming instead of building carbon capture devices.
For my part, it’s getting rid of invasive species and planting native fauna.

For my part, I’ve planted more trees, shrubs, perennials, fruit trees and small fruits over my lifetime than ANY ‘tree hugger’ out there. Hundreds and hundreds - 400 Evergreens in one (long!) weekend when building future wildlife habitat on a portion of our land. Then we had drought, but 200 survived and are now all over 10’ tall and still growing. (Just drove through that area last week.)
Beau is a HUGE hunter and also sits on the County Conservation Board so he is very much a part of Wisconsin conservation and believe me - NONE of the people he works with on these boards gives a rat’s rump about windmills or solar power. Nature takes care of herself (trees, wildflowers, woodland, animal habitat) if you just leave her alone, which is mainly what they work towards.
He was a big Ducks Unlimited guy for a decade to help protect waterways and marshes - but that organization got way too political for his tastes. He doesn’t even hunt waterfowl, but WATER as a whole is an absolute necessity of Life. ;)
