They are saying that probably the next is the last season and that Kiefer who is a producer (I think) wants the character to die in the last episode of the whole series.
I'd rather the guy who sacrificed so much lived.
They didn't kill people off in Lethal Weapon 4, so why would Bauer need to die?

Maybe they will have his long lost twin show up and have the same kind of personality and take no prisoners attitude. It cannot be an identical twin,but a close resemblance fraternal twin.
