I am just praying that this is not about some deep dirt on him over the Abramoff thing or some other scandal...
my gut says that DeLay is above the fray.. but since he has dealt with some ruthless idiots.. it wouldn't take much for them to just threaten to lie about him....
rather than bring down the party.. maybe he is just trying to save them from being slammed over people out to get him...
