I think they intentionally try to present Chloe as the "unattractive nerd". Mary Lynn Rajskub (pronounced RiceCub) looks a lot better when she isn't playing Chloe. She does have a tattoo on her left shoulder which is IMHO a bit of a turnoff.

I got a kick out of this 24 Fan Fiction story someone sent me the link for the other day.

It is about a Chloe-Jack relationship but totally believable, especially Chapters 1-3. I was laughing my butt off since I could actually picture Chloe doing these things.
