A Survivor Figures Out What to Do With Himself

It's a good article, worth reading.

It was in his exchanges with Jonny Fairplay and Ostin that Mr. Probst's new steeliness came into view.

snip

Those episodes seemed to kick off a new era. Mr. Probst isn't just a host anymore — he has become the game's guardian. He has no patience for people who, as they say in England, lower the tone. He still roots for players and is excited by a good challenge, but as often as not he conducts tribal councils in the key of I've Had It With You People.

Damn--the link doesn't work now. It did at first, but now it takes you to a Slimes login page.

Let's try this:

http://www.nytimes.com/pages/arts/

That's a link to the Slimes' Arts page. Scroll down to the bottom to the "television" section and you'll see the Survivor story--assuming the link stays good.
