The offense controls the tempo, and therefore being on the field is not as big a deal to the offensive players. Defensive players have to play at the other team's tempo, and over the long run it is more exhausting to do.

No Archie appearance yet, though Jimmy Johnson does a good job of aggravating me on his own.

The Steelers game had better be more entertaining than this pile...

Sigh... Giants turn in perhaps the worst playoff performance ever, losing 23-0 to a Carolina team that showed up to play today.

More football coming up, Steelers at Bengals, should be better football than we just saw.

Don't count on it. Bengals should destroy Pittsburgh. The Steelers have the 2nd worst QB in the league. If the Steelers can't run they can't win. Prediction: Bengals 38 Steelers 14.

Having the highest yardage per pass average in the entire NFL qualifies Roethlisberger as the second worst quarterback in the league?

Upon further review, it looks like the Giants got down to the Panthers' 36 yard line. But they never even sniffed the red zone, and never tried a field goal. Gotta be a playoff record there somewhere.

The Bears-NYG playoff game in 1985 was quite similar. Giants came to Chicago, temps in the ZERO range...windy too. Bears dominated.

I hear you, but those Bears were fabulous and the Giants today had no excuse about bad weather. As I said, they all looked like they were told their families ware all going to be assassinated if they played a decent game. If I were a Giant fan, I'd be quite pissed off right about now!

Now............. Go Stillers.

Cower WILL NOT allow this guy to throw. If you count on 'Little Ben'...you lose. A couple of games he only had 11 passing attempts. If the Steelers can't run today the Bengals will blow them out. Be honest, 2 minutes left in the game down by six, you want 'Ben' as your QB?? No way.

Better than the game we just saw? I don't see how that would be possible!

Right now, we're watching Vince Young turn pro. I hope he finishes before kickoff.

I got your answer: 2005 'Little Ben' 2 minutes left in the game...QB rating of 47. 87 passing yards and 2 int's. ALL SEASON. AWFUL.

Cower WILL NOT allow this guy to throw.

Cowher allows Ben to throw often enough for him to have the third highest passer rating in the league.

If you count on 'Little Ben'...you lose. A couple of games he only had 11 passing attempts. If the Steelers can't run today the Bengals will blow them out. Be honest, 2 minutes left in the game down by six, you want 'Ben' as your QB?? No way.

Actually, way ... and if you check the records you might be surprised to know that he has several two-minute-drive-comeback-wins in his short career already. BTW 6'5" is Big for a QB.
