The Jaguars are quickly losing the field position game....
aka
the game that Belicheck plays in the playoffs....
To: Last Visible Dog
Check the rules, the team with the most points, wins. Thanks for stating the obvious, Einstein. If you are a Redskins fan, would like to make a bet?
I didn't think so.

To each their own. Don't know why you have to get rude about it though. I don't think any less of you for liking a style of football that bores me to tears. Your time watch whatever football games you want. But understand that if somebody tries to tell me, which is how all this started, that a game like the Rose Bowl was better than the Bucs-Skins game I'll tell them I don't agree.

The head of the BCS isn't the guy that makes that decision. It's the NCAA that makes that decision and they will never go for a playoff, there's too many teams that'll lose too much money.

actually, to correct you, the NCAA doesn't have anything to do with D-1A football.
That is the reason there is no tournament.
Look at the rest of the sports/divisions.
D-1A is completely different.
To: MikeinIraq
no doubt...this is not going to be a "easy " game.

nope.
of course, I am not totally convinced that this Pats team is on the same plane as the one from last year.
To: Last Visible Dog
I grabbed it off your post, but I guess someone else posted it first. Sorry, my mistake.

Then why is it called NCAA D-1A football?
Of course in the end it's really the schools that decide, regardless of who's the titular head it's the schools that'll lose the money and therefore won't sign on for anything else.
Any attempt to get a playoff will be blocked by those mid-ranked teams that regularly go to meaningless bowl games but won't anymore if those bowl games are put into a meaningful playoff system.
