oh cool, I used to show horses..Western, but that was so long ago..20 years. I would bounce all over saddle these days.I had an appy who would embarrass the H out me. she would do so well in practice and then wouldn't pick up the right lead in the ring for nothing or she would just plain ignore the canter cue aughhh!!!!

Thanks for the link, Scott.

Moran's shallow comments after the great speech by General Wagner... “I do support the troops, and I do believe that the best way for me to support the troops is to make sure that when they do go to war, it's a war that needs to be fought.”

So, what are the troops doing in Iraq? The fact he undermines them is because he believes the troops aren't fighting.

He really got called out, didn't he? That's such a lame excuse that he gave -- when the troops are at war, he doesn't have the right to undermine them because he doesn't think the war needs to be fought.

I also liked the fact that Mark Seavey pointed out that Jim Moran didn't even visit the 200 servicemen that just returned from Afghanistan.

Great point. What a hypocrite Moran is.

Well you know that horses are like people, some are stubborn and some want to please!

The 1971 version is absolutely horrendous. One of the worst movies ever, easily. How could you climb the World Trade Center anyway? The special effects in the '30s version were better than the animal-rights-activist ooey-gooey PETA-ish '70s remake.

Although at least, unlike in "Hulk," he didn't jump onto one of the F-102s and go for a ride.

Heh... I do wish it was made more up to date like a 2005 version where you had him climbing the Empire State Building and you see A-10's, Apaches, Cobras, F-15's, etc., closing in or something. B-) Climbing the World Trade Center, I think I remember one guy doing it (and was arrested at the top) back in 1977.

Well, then, the gorilla couldn't do it without getting arrested.

My daughter invited me to dinner for chicken (grilled by my son-in-law) and cut up for wraps. She made a great broccoli casserole and baked a good squash medley. Then we watched "Ella Enchanted" and "The Wedding Crashers." Both were good, but the language in the second was pretty rough.

Did they actually have a dog trainer there? My dog Harm is 4 years old and weighs close to 90 pounds if he hasn't already gotten there. He is Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky/Lab cross. He refuses to obey commands. He jumps on people unexpectedly and refuses to sit on command when we go anywhere. :(

Well, the added thing there is that you don't EXPECT it to be heartbreaking. We all know how it ends, with King Kong making his final stand on the Empire State Building. But the emotional impact is surprising.

Leading up to that is lots and lots of spectacular, rip-roaring action.
