I actually never read the book. All I have to compare it to is the BBC production in the late '80s, which was a multi-part series. I imagine the film is more professionally done.

Heh...to put it mildly.

So far as I know, they plan on going through with the rest of the series. Hope so!

I saw Narnia and I thought it was wonderfully done

Great production values and an eye catching final battle scene

I always thought they were chunks of real wood.

What is it like particle board but made to look like a log?

I am not sure
some are mad out of recyled paper, cardboard etc

They don't look like real wood

I need to just get on the stick and go buy a cord but I don't want to stack it myself, need to call my nephews to help me

I saw King Kong. I think it's one of the best movies to come out this year.

Ever see the 1976 version where Kong climbed the World Traqde Center and the Army used Cobra (maybe they could have been Hueys, it's been a while) helicopter gunships to attack him. I remember seeing King Kong posters from that time that portrayed Kong swatting what looks like an F-102 jet from the sky.

The 1971 version is absolutely horrendous. One of the worst movies ever, easily. How could you climb the World Trade Center anyway? The special effects in the '30s version were better than the animal-rights-activist ooey-gooey PETA-ish '70s remake.

Although at least, unlike in "Hulk," he didn't jump onto one of the F-102s and go for a ride.
