I seem to recall buying corn nuts in college. Out of a vending machine. If you bought some, then you could either toss the bag of nuts in the hole, or toss each nut individually.

D00d, I don't know if Kraft (the maker of Corn Nuts)did this in all the markets, but in Houston, back in like 1999 they had a "Bust a Nut" campaign.

1999? I graduated in '80. And the only reason I remember eating them is that a professor stopped class to ask who
was eating them, since he could smell them.
(This from a guy that would bring in the pungent types of bagels, no less.)
