I need the user number in order for it to work, and I don't find the user number anywhere.

It's buried in the log files - look for points in the log where the FaH restarted. Here's what mine looks like:

--- Opening Log file [January 1 18:38:08]

# Windows Console Edition
#####################################################
###############################################################################

Folding@Home Client Version 5.02

http://folding.stanford.edu

###############################################################################
###############################################################################

Launch directory: C:\Program Files\FaH
Service: C:\Program Files\FaH\FAH502-Console.exe
Arguments: -svcstart

Launched as a service.
Entered C:\Program Files\FaH to do work.

[18:38:08] - Ask before connecting: No
[18:38:08] - User name: Senator_Bedfellow (Team 36120)
[18:38:08] - User ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
[18:38:08] - Machine ID: 2

The user ID appears to be a 16 digit hex number - see if you can plug that in and make it go.

I'm still not happy with the team name.

Would like to see "Ronnies Folders" or perhaps "Reagan's Legacy" but I realize where we're at.

Freerepublic whatever isn't supported, not sure why we;de retain any part of that name.

shrug.

The ID number didn't work for me, but I found a different format using the username & team that does:
http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php?un=HangThemHigh&t=36120&bg=1

The above is my username, if you didn't guess, substitute as needed. The bg=1 is the background - I tried 1 & 2, there may be more for different skins

I'm still not happy with the team name. Would like to see "Ronnies Folders" or perhaps "Reagan's Legacy" but I realize where we're at. Freerepublic whatever isn't supported, not sure why we;de retain any part of that name. The jury is still out over the final name, but it's running about 2:1 in favor of some RR flavored moniker. Right now, what's up there is just a temporary reprieve, from the copyright laws. After all, it's the team #, and the team spirit, and not the name, that really counts. c'mon over to the new thread, and put in your two cents worth...

If the worst thing that happens, is we have to bicker over a team name for a few days, I'll be happy, in light of what transpired last evening. And YES, my legs are still CROSSED... :)

Glad to help. Good to have something positive come of that thread.

A couple of notes:

The bg=1 is optional and omitting it adds a team box next to the user box.

The user number is on the extremeoverclocks user stats, over in the FAH stats box on the left of the page after you search for your name.

There are people who surf the Internet on Commodore 64s.

The oldest machine I ever linked to the internet was a 1930's kleinschmidt teletype. :-)

Why does this not surprise me?
