My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Thought of the Day
it was Dag Hammarskjold who said, "Never measure
the height of a mountain until you have reached
the top. Then you will see how low it was."

LONDON, 1802
MILTON! thou shouldst be living at this hour:
England hath need of thee: she is a fen
Of stagnant waters: altar, sword, and pen,
Fireside, the heroic wealth of hall and bower,
Have forfeited their ancient English dower
Of inward happiness. We are selfish men;
Oh! raise us up, return to us again;
And give us manners, virtue, freedom, power.
Thy soul was like a Star, and dwelt apart:
Thou hadst a voice whose sound was like the sea:
Pure as the naked heavens, majestic, free,
So didst thou travel on life's common way,
In cheerful godliness; and yet thy heart
The lowliest duties on herself did lay.
by: William Wordsworth (1770-1850)

To: bentfeather; everyone
I saw a Cardinal
in my garden today,
into my environs
she came to play.
A little drabber than
her other, but,
welcome still,
no matter the colour.

Hope, sorry I missed you.
I really enjoy the Cardinal poem. Of all the birds I think I love the Cardinal best.

Well dis pooka thing has
me in a spin
I keep wonderin' if I
have ever seem him
Me thinks the fairy
has smitten me
I have them flying free
I have them with pointed ears
big, soft wings, slanted eyes
they cast spells on summer nights
fly around like fireflies
but the pooka who holds my
heart, the dragonfly most sublime
I am his and he is mine.

Bunny's sitting so nonchalant,
like last years goofy debutante.
Intruder's been noticed by the cat, who shouts
"wake-up puppy! I smell a rat."
There's a stranger in our midst,
come on fellows, we're being dissed!
Who let this rat on board?
bunny, have you heard a word?
Stir yourselves you lazy lot,
this rat's no bigger than a dot.
Aw, seriously fellows, I need help
WAKE-UP DOG AND YELP!!!
