The American Film Renaissance www.afrfilmfestival.com the organization presenting patriotic and pro-America alternatives to typical movie fare, goes to the heart of the industry to host its first festival in Hollywood, Calif., next month.
AFR was begun to encourage the production and promotion of more traditional-values oriented movies in the U.S. Gary Sinise (CSI: NY, Forrest Gump) and Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond)are some of the celebrities who have committed to attend . . . . .

Sinese doesn't do anything bad.
He was wonderful in Of Mice and Men too.
The only other thing I have seen Patricia Heaton in is some supermarket commercials. I think its Albertsons which again I am not sure but I think is a western supermarket chain.
Yes, she does the Albertson commercials. According to milbuf she sings too! You've never seen "everybody loves Raymond"?
It's one of the few shows on tv I can tolerate.
She seems like a very talented, down-to-earth lady.
(except for the boob job - what was she thinkin'!)
I am sorry I didn't make it clear that the other thing bit was referring back to Raymond. So yes I have seen it.
Boob job.
BS. Sinise is not a veteran of any branch of the service let alone the Marine Corps.
I think he was confusing the story of his character on CSI: NY with the real person.
The title you created has been changed to the original published title.
Someone else wanted to post this story and had searched Free Republic using the unaltered original title.
Yet because you altered the title of your thread the other Poster was unable to find the story already posted. This resulted in the other Poster putting up a duplicate story which in turn resulted in a few others trying to sort it all out.
To avoid duplication, and in consideration of others, please only use the original published title. Thanks.
Along with his Lt. Dan Band (named for his character from Forrest Gump), Sinise has embarked on numerous USO/Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) tours. In February 2004, he entertained troops in Diego Garcia, Singapore and Korea. Last year, Sinise went to tours in Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Germany, Italy and Fort Stewart, Ga. He has also traveled to both Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and the National Navy Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., to visit troops wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has recently co-founded Operation Iraqi Children with Seabiscuit: An American Legend author Laura Hillenbrand, an effort to help educate Iraqi children.
Yep. I actually met Shannen Doherty, 16 years ago, out here in Los Angeles. Without disclosing specifics, she was a resident at a condo where I was a desk security officer. The name didn't register until shortly thereafter, when I heard of this new show, "Beverly Hills 90210". She was extremely pleasant, nothing like how she has been portrayed.
I work in Century City, not exactly the most conservative place in the world. Surprisingly, a lot of the leaders of the company are conservative. (Messrs Sarbanes and Oxley are persona non grata here.)
There are two co-workers that stand out, Female A, and Female B. Female A is a liberal...but a very pleasant liberal. Even though she knows that I am a conservative, we get along fairly well. Female B is a B, a hardcore leftist, who went off on me, just because I happened to be very happy on November 3. She and I barely get along, for "seasons", so long as politics don't get mentioned. If they are mentioned, the fit hits the shan. (and I win!)
I love that tag line! lol lol
