I was a soph at NYU in 1966..the year the show first ran..it was on Friday nights...the frats at NYU all held "open houses"..on Friday nights..we'd get a keg and some chips, and you'd have thousands of girls descend on the Villiage looking to meet guys..Our house was always packed..but when Star Trek came on..we turned ON the TV in the house and everyone watched it for the hour..

8. Stargate
Stargate SG-1 is still being produced. Season 10 kicks off January 6th on the Sci-Fi channel. Aside from Richard Dean Anderson leaving, Beau Bridges has joined the cast. Last year, Anderson made a couple of surprise visits, so I would expect the same again...

Star Trek hasn't even been gone a year. And does the UK not get the new sci-fi channel Stargate? Glad to see B5 on the list, still one of the best shows ever.
