I hope the hip feels better soon.

As for the MSgt's advice, I sleep better when I haven't behaved. 8>)

BTW. I'm not painting the cardboard box that's screwed to the ceiling. I'm covering it with that tacky (both senses meant [Sticky and ugly]) shelf covering. Paisley, I think.... Something obnoxious, certainly.

Check the breakers first. And although it's considered unfriendly to cut someone's lockout lock off a box, you can generally find out where they are by the screaming and ambulances after you cut the lock and switch the power back on.

That's only if you are in a hurry to find them. 8>)

And, NO!, I'm not willing to work any electrical stuff with any other freeper, after posting this.

Cute kitties. THey are fun to have around. The Siamese cat has decided yet again that I am not a stranger. She came and curled up beside me last night as I watched football games with my dad. She'd get miffed if I stopped petting her. She's a talker too. She'll meow if she wants something and you have to walk over to it. If you don't guess correctly, the meowing gets louder.

Hi! Ten of us went to see the Narnia movie tonight...2 grandchildren, their parents, daughter and husband, one niece one sister, and my husband and me. We all LOVED it. They have done an excellent job on capturing the flavor of the books. The talking animals, including Aslan, are believable and well-done. Great scenery, fantastic special effects, good characterization, all in all, a wonderful movie. I will buy the DVD, and my sister will go see it again with her daughter, who couldn't attend tonight.

Everyone just left after having pizza here. This was a nice family outing. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

Spooky... AKA, Six is sick. She's been hiding it, but she's sneezing and coughing a lot, for the last few days. Lots of eye stuff, lots of snot. I know... that's probably TMI, but she's my good gato.

I hope I'm immune to whatever she's got. It's nasty.

One way or the other, we see a vet tomorrow. May be Army Reserve... may have to take out a loan from family, but Spook gets to see a DVM. She's gotta get in to sick call. One way or 't other.

I have places to get (boring) food when I'm broke... Spook comes first.

It's on my list of things to do after New Years. Getting into movies here during the holiday season is a joke. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, my sister and niece saw it Monday night and are raving about it also.

My confession is that I never read the books. I just could never get into them as a child or a teenager. My sister and I are going to try again. I have read a lot of C.S. Lewis' books, such as The Screwtape Letters, Mere Christianity, and the Great Divorce.

I've went through that once. We were not equipped for lockouts, but some ass turned the breaker back on when I was working... It ain't happening again.

I didn't read them until I bought them for my son, when he was 9. I might have read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe when I wa a child, since I remember some of it seemed vaguely familiar to me. But the first time I read the series, I was in my late 20's.

I loved them then, and I still do.

The trouble with this is that the circuit wasn't even BLOWN! IT WAS A STUPID SWITCH IN THE "NO POWER" POSITION. At least I had nothing to do with it. HA! It will stand me in good stead in the future.

Ha, well in the future, always look for the easiest solutions first! You'd be surprised how many times that one works! [Speaking as a seasoned technician]

Yea, embarassing, but it weren't my fault and I'm gonna get good mileage, real good mileage out of it. So all in all, it was a positive experience.

I thought we had. We checked the batteries in the thermostat, checked whether the gas was on (we had hot water so it was), checked the pilot light. Electrical stuff is hubby's responsibility.

But you're right, the first law of electricity: make sure it is plugged in.

But as I said, hubby's responsibility and boy and I going to be ever so nice and understanding. It's a wifey thing.

Should my sarcasm detector be going off so loud as it is? ;)
