Twenty years ago tonight, at approximately three thirty in the morning on December 26, 1985, I heard odd noises and felt as if I had fallen out of bed. I opened my eyes to a scene of such extraordinary horror that I am still suffering from the effects of that moment, two decades later.
What I saw before me was a small room like the interior of a tent, populated by enormous insects. These insects were at once strange, distant-seeming creatures, totally unlike me and not communicating any sense of the human at all, and yet at the same time aware of me in a way that eloquently and terrifyingly signaled intelligence.

He should lay off the dairy products after 6:00 p.m.
The brown acid is very bad...
uh, ok
So is the insect windowpane.
Not another Brokeback Mountain thread!
An odd, machine-like voice commenced repeating again and again the phrase 'what can we do to help you stop screaming like a bitch, an ecommerce franchise?'
And that Area 51/Roswell, NM crap, I surely don't believe that government can efficiently keep it secret.
The sad part is that a fictional show can keep a better secret than in real life..
One thing I like about WS is that he's sure that what has happened to him in this context is 100 per cent real, but remains agnostic as to what is really going on.
Another thing I like is that, just prior to the Iraq liberation, he expressed support for it, making an economic case for it, pointing out that everything made and sold has an energy component in its cost (right down to delivery to the retailer, and transportation for the consumer).
I read the entire journal entry, he appears to be a troubled man or maybe he knows more than he is willing to admit?
I'm sure he's troubled. I'm *very* open-minded regarding reported alien encounters, but some of these reported scary ones with large numbers of aliens (particularly small aliens) appear to be indistinguishable from lilliputian syndrome, a type of hallucination associated with certain kinds of mental and physical stress (accidental or purposeful drug use, sleep deprivation, or some combo of the two, such as smoking crack for three days straight; also some methods of torture).
I ask him why as a Catholic he would say a soul dies.He said in your link ," I will tell you this about the way a soul dies: for the universe, it winks out of existence the instant the supporting bodys electrical system fails. But for that soul, the moment of death remains forever.
What kills souls is quite simple: choice. They choose to die because they despair of themselves. They die
"
This is from your link Kevin which I am still reading.
Is there any way he could come to this forum?
I used to post on his forum, and the discussions were usually pretty interesting. However, ol' Whitley has become so liberal over the past few years I think he'd be hard pressed to come here.
Seriously, he transformed from a guy willing to question reality a bit from the perspective of his experiences to a leftist leaving no liberal stone unturned. Very, very sad, actually.
Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy, and always pleasant to talk to. Any debate with him would be a fun experience. You could ping him on www.unkowncountry.com - his website.
He's very intelligent, but massively hoodwinked in a number of areas.
