I am a supervisor at my company, and we have been talking about finding a soldier to "adopt".
It would be an honor if we could do something for your brave son and his company. Please send me a private mail if that would be possible.

"Octopussy" is one of my husband's favorites, too. Our grandson was here vying with grandad on the Playstation, and when we got ready to take him home, the tail-end of Octopussy popped up when we switched back to TV mode. He was mesmerized by the laser fight. I had to force him out of the house, as I don't know that his parents want him watching James Bond at age 9, but I KNOW in a few years he will be watching the marathon with my husband. LOL!

Oh, hubby hates "View to a Kill", too. He can't stand the Grace jones character, and thinks that the villain is unbelievable. We had a discussion about this today. LOL!

Well, you hurry up and get back on your feet so you can get back in the fray at full tilt! That's an order, soldier!

My favorite Bond is Timothy Dalton. After reading Ian Fleming's books, he was the 007 that was intended. The interesting thing is that my second favorite movie in the series is "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" with George Lazenby. I may be a softie, but the end is heartbreaking.

Not to be disruptive, bad, or anything like that, but is it me, or does Kamal Khan look like Tom DeLay?

I didn't know what a Kamal Khan was so I googled him ... LOL!
Yes, I see what you mean about a resemblance:

My husband and I agree. Dalton was the best, followed by Sean Connery. It's a shame Dalton left the series.

I see the resemblance. However, if Tom Delay starts singing "Gigi" then we will simply have to lock him up.

Actually, Kamal Khan looks more like the old actor Louis Jordan. Oh, am I dating myself by telling you this?

I had forgotten all about "Gigi".
Whenever I see that name I immediately think of Maurice Chevaliar (sp!!!) and I can hear his voice in my head.

If Tom Delay starts singing "Gigi", I'll give you the keys to throw away! LOL!
It must come from childhood, but my older sister and I grew up on James Bond, and it's still a favorite stress release for both of us. I started reading the actual books about two years ago, and apart from the early Connery movies, the films don't really resemble them until "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", which I consider the second best film in the series. You pick up things from the books in later movies, but Tim Dalton was the only one who displayed the true intensity and dispair that Ian Fleming wrote into the character.
