An Egyptian man discovered on his wedding day that his fiancée of three years was a man who had been concealing his identity behind a veil, the daily Al-Gomhuria reported Wednesday. The 26-year-old groom-to-be, Tamer Shehata, was notified by a female guest attending his wedding that his would-be wife was a man in women's clothing.
When Shehata confronted his fiancée, the latter broke down and revealed that 'she' was actually an 18-year-old man called Ahmed Abo Zeid, the newspaper said.
Abo Zeid confessed that he had tried several times to undergo a sex change but had failed to secure doctors' approval.
The man, whose face was obscured to Shehata by a niqab or face veil was quoted in the paper as saying that he had intended to tell his husband the truth after they were married, and had hoped to convince him to consummate the marriage.
He was held for 45 days on charges of swindling and posing as a woman.
It's Islam... Sounds like the veil can be a hindrance to reproduction.
Find an awfully dumb groom?
Brokeback Pyramid

So, his wife turned out to be a Hisbollah, rather than a Herbollah. Shocking.
I dream of Jeanie...errr, make that Genie...as in Eugene!
Sounds like the plot of a bad, B-grade movie from the '40's.
Odds are good that this lil' gal really is a gal, but she needs some surgery.
In America and Europe most such cases are dealt with while the individual is still an infant.
no sex before marriage?
That's why "Waiting until your wedding night" is such a bad idea!!
This is why you drive the car before you buy it.

Because it may have been an arranged marriage.
Because a 'good' girl is NEVER alone with a man who isn't a relative.
Because they were chaperoned anytime they were together.
Because this is probably all he saw of his fiance' prior to the wedding
Why do you think so many Arabic love songs talk about their beloved's eyes so much? That's all they see!
Sounds like a strong case for supporting pre-marital sex.
Cut both his heads off...... immediately!

Sounds more like a case for an *impartial* medical inspection. Some cultures have related laws about marriage for a reason.
If the goods are genuine, they'll keep until the honeymoon. And that's a chance worth taking.
Plus, if I'm slow dancing with my betrothed during the engagement, I might just somehow figure out if it's another man. Maybe not...
But STILL, a three-year courtship where you don't figure THIS out, even--especially--if you have eye contact--hasn't had enough, make that ANY, honest conversation.
The eyes are the window to the soul.
