What does that have to do with anything? Only low-budget films that no one sees should get attention. Barebutt Mountin' has onlg grossed about 10% of its costs so far. People are seeing Chronicles, only gays and elitists are seeing Barebutt.
Brokeback's homophonic equivalence to "bareback" is not accidental
This film advocates extremely deadly behavior. It kills the participants, infects innocents, and threatens the community.
But it is such a touching movie of men abandoning their wifes and kids to have sex in the mountains. What a great 'love' story.
If they run it in the homosexual friendly places first, they are bound to generate more profits initially. Using this they can say,
"Look the movie did really well at release. Better than expected. You should see it too!"
It's all propanganda.

Good. Now they won't have any problem with where they can shove their worthless trophy. |
That's what the homos are for.
This "touching" movie must be viewed as Hollywood being part of a plot to kill off homosexuals.
Otherwise, why advocate deadly behavior?
On another note, I'd rather dig ditches with a sand box shovel than sit though the Oscars....EVEN if a year in which all the movies are the best I've ever seen.
Boring, boring, boring....
When Bareback wins the Oscar, I predict Hollywood will unleash a new genre of the old western classics redone with a gay theme.
"Flaming Saddles"
"Raw Hind"
"Buns Poke"
The Good, the Bad, and the Fagly"
"Buttborossa!"

Not all women.
This week 'The Brothers Grimm' came out on DVD.
I'd been looking forward to buying it for some time.
When this Humpback Mounting deal hit the boards I did *not* buy the Brothers Grimm simply because I don't care to drop a dime into Heath Ledger's handbag.
I DESPISE soap operas, romance novels and anything else of that delusional, apron-wringing ilk.
[and guys who "talk or think girls" are closet queens, IMO. "sensitive" men should just put a skirt on and be done with it]....:)
Which apparently takes place in this movie.
This movie glorifies & advocates the abuse of women in marriage. It recommends cheating on them in an abominable fashion....the anguish created is definitely emotional abuse.
The biological dangers brought home to the wives is physical abuse of the 1st order.
Paint Your Wagon Girl Friend
Sitting Hurts Bull
Butch Cassidy And The Submissive Kid
Gay Out West
The Fabulous Seven
McCabe & Mr Miller
Dances With Yorkies
Sore In The Saddle
They Died With Their Boas On
The Quick & The Surprised
Tickley Down Under
Liberals are so predictable...I said YEARS ago that I can easily predict Oscar nonimations and NEVER attend a moive (which I almost never do). From Norma Rae (pro-union), to Last Temptation of Christ (make Jesus a liberal), to Brokeback Mountain (make homosexuality appear normal), Hollyweird no longer makes movies...they produce propaganda.
They are so child like, and yet foolishly arrogant at the same time.
Eeeewww yuck, check out the number of theaters it's playing.
Its official, The Oscars are for Homosexuals.
The Oscars should have a MA warning if not a full blown "H" to warn parents that the Oscar program deals with sexually explicit material.
Hah...I already made a lunch bet with a co-worker that Brokeback will win Best Picture.
OMG....you are bad. LOL!!
The whole "INTENTIONAL LOSS" of brokenback mountain is to portray the two men having homosexual sex as "love".
Homosexuality is never ever about love, homosexuality is ONLY about recreational sex fetishes.
You are right this is a 100% pure propaganda effort. The Oscars need to have a MA for explicit sexual content warning.
