Guess what I'm watching? The Magnificent Seven...in Spanish (los siete magníficos)

So I'm surfing around...without cable tv, the only decent, entertaining thing to watch is a rerun of The Drew Carey Show on channel 9. But still I change channels and come upon the all spanish channel (channel 67) on which the movie The Magnificent Seven is playing. I come in right where Yul Brynner hires Robert Vaughn.

I've seen this movie dozens of times. (I own it on DVD). But I've seen it only in english. Kinda weird to see all those Mexican villagers speak spanish. Same with Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson.

Okay, now we're up to the part where Charles Bronson is trying to teach the villagers how to shoot.

"Uno, Dos, tres, quatro."

Getting the village ready for the next appearace of Calvera, the bandit.

Here comes Calvera!

Yul Brynner tells Calvera to ride on.

You know, the gunfire sounds the same in english as it does in spanish.

Hey, on Navidad (thats Christmas), channel 67 will be showing the Arnold Schwarzenegger/Danny Devito film Twins....or rather "Gemelos".

Having trouble sleeping? I find that 6 or 7 shots of Jack in as many minutes helps me sleep at night.

A classic movie is on tv, and no one cares?

Calvera turns the tables on the magnificent seven.

The actor who plays "Spence" on the tv show "King of Queens" is on Conan O'Brien.

Man, is he lame as a comedian.

Ah, another rerun of Frasier on channel 11

The Magnificent Seven returns to the village to fight it out with Calvera and his men.

Harry is killed.

I think we should start a pool and get you cable!

History channel and discovery, maybe military channel should keep you busy!

A few weeks ago, I was channel surfing and I notices that Telemundo was showing "Return of the Killer Tomatoes." It's even more surreal in Spanish.

History channel is great...if you like seeing the same old documentaries (Germany during WW2) for the thousandth time. I'd rather have movie and classic tv channels. So that I can see reruns of I Love Lucy for the thousandth time.
