10 yearsThis may be more than the Shark can handle. A similar event once caused his hallucinations about a "shark attack," even though he was sitting in the tub accompanied by his rubber ducky at the time. He continues to misrepresent the event to this very day.

"He continues to misrepresent the event to this very day" One often creates delusions as a defense mechanism to make the unpleasant more palatable. Perhaps Sharkey has just mastered the technique.
