I was a freshman in college and remember a psychology professor greeting Kennedy's pronouncement as an early Christmas.

I'm waiting for Wagglebee to confirm, but, it looks like this Averell Harriman was IN the Kennedy Administration. Under-Secretary for East Asia.

If this is the same guy, I will be throughing more up on this thread later that will probably make sense to your college professor's reaction.

This is good information. However, one has to ask why this information was released. The reason was to "prove" that Russian control over agents of influence in America had been terminated with the breakup of the Soviet Union and the end of communism in Russia.

The reason it was so important to "prove" this was because it is not true. Evidence for continued Russian manipulation of agents of influence abounds throughout the whole of our society and Europe. Unfortunately, even most conservative Republicans cannot see that this is the case. That is in large part because "everyone" agrees that believing there is a vast conspiracy of Russian agents is "insane". No one wants to be insane, so they shy away from this thought.

The problem is, the idea that it is "insane" to believe in a vast Russian conspiracy in the world has been promoted by these same Russian agents for more than half a century. That is why it is so widely believed.

To really understand the situation, you have to get it from the horse's mouth, by reading the three great defectors: Golitsyn, Suvorov, and Pacepa. Then you build your deductions on top of that.

Yes. W. Averell Harriman was the son of E. H. Harriman who founded the Union Pacific Railroad and was partners on many ventures with the Rockefeller family.

Averell Harriman founded Brown Brothers Harriman which had as key executives George Herbert Walker and Prescott Bush. Harriman was a far left billionaire Democrat; however, all of his tended to be Republicans (many of them were in Skull & Bones at Yale as Harriman was).

It's no secret. It's located in the US Congress.
