"President Reagan commonly described Nicaragua as a 'totalitarian dungeon'."
And correctly and accurately. And thanks to President Reagan's pressure on Nicaragua -- in the face of the opposition of the so-called Democrats in Congress -- the Ortega dictatorship in Nicaragua had to hold free elections under international scrutiny, and lost. Ortega and his henchmen retired to the mansions built for the Somoza regime and its supporters.
Reagan's approach to and results in Nicaragua does indeed illustrate the value of dissent. :')

Dad, do you mind if I change the subject? I want to ask you something. The dinner we had before, what was the name of it? What do you call it? Why don't you buy a dog? You're a dog cook. Honest. You think you're cooking for a lot of dogs. Gee, with stunning writing like this, I can see why he won a Nobel Prize. </SARC>
