Included in human nature is an intense love. Even, because of the power of imagination, man fancies a sort of immortality in everything he loves. Whenever he thinks of or sees their passing, he cries out from the depths of his being. All the lamentations at separation are interpretations of the weeping resulting from love of immortality. If there was no imagined immortality, there would be no love. It might even be said that a reason for the existence of the eternal realm and everlasting Paradise is the intense desire for immortality arising from that passionate love of immortality, and from the innate and general prayer for immortality. The Enduring One of Glory accepted mans intense, unshakeable, innate desire and his powerful, effective, general prayer, for He created for transient man an eternal realm.
IBTZ?
Cheeze, baby, it's all about Cheeze...
"IBTZ?"
I think so... something smells kind of funny... falafel like
It's not me, I took a bath earlier.
Viking Kitty alert?
Code mauve!
Aren't posts like this supposed to include pictures of Monica Beluchi or Katherine Zeta Jones?
Maybe more like Jasmine from Aladdin this time.
Ack!! Ack, Ack!!
And for what did you post this for?
Of course we have intense love.
We were made in the image of the one who is perfect Love, who loved us intensely enough to empty himself, become a part of what he created because of that love.
Imagine!
The crowd presses forward,
the sick and the ill
coming for his touch,
to be healed,
cured,
made whole.
Imagine!
the sick at heart
who turned and found
his smile,
his word,
his forgiveness.
Imagine,
the crowd presses forward,
caught up in the moment
calling for his death,
not knowing
they were witnessing
his ultimate gift,
the gift of his life for theirs,
the gift of his salvation,
the gift of his forgiveness.
Imagine!
this poor world pressing forward,
longing for healing,
for peace,
to be made whole,
and now,
how he walks with them,
he smiles with the smiles of those in need,
heals with the touch of those
who are open to him,
His mercy an ocean for those who listen,
His heart big enough to hold the whole world,
waiting to give
the gift of his love,
the gift of his word,
the gift of his forgiveness.
O Lord,
open our hearts
to accept your love,
now and forever.
Amen
"If there was no imagined immortality, there would be no love."
Actually, if there was, "love" would cease to exist.
You are stoned.
WOw this guy should be awarded a medal.

I think most of us might have said it the other way:
We have this great desire because God put it in our hearts...but transient man is indeed made for an eternal realm, and God makes us hungry for it. You might like to read this thread:
