If that's the case, it's a very bad thing indeed. Is there a copy of the Patriot Act out there somewhere that we can get our hands on and dissect? It seems to me, if there was ever a place to dissect something, it's Free Republic. Just ask Dan Rather and Mary Mapes.

I have not put any effort into finding the text of the act as it is now written, and I think it is probably still being negotiated. What worries me is that nothing is beng said of this aspect on talk radio or FNC, except a general reference to "library and business records". I've been checking the GOA website and they don't have any updates since last week.

I wasw wrong in that the business records provision has been in the Patriot Act all along. It's still a provision that needs more restriction, espically in the gathering of firearms records indiscriminately.
