How low can they go?

There's much time until '08 -- they'll get more and more loony with every day that passes. Losing power does that to people. They still can't get over the Republican Revolution of '94.

They are certainly not my Grandpa's party.

How is everyone tonight?
Don`t mean to rub it in but just came back in from filling the wood furnace for the night and the only sound around was a coyote or coy-dog yapping in the woods.

*sigh* What's hard is that I had a house before moving out here. Granted, it wasn't out in the woods (though that's how I grew up), but it was in a vey quiet neighborhood. It's been an adjustment living with neighbors in the same building again. But mostly the folks here are really nice. Can't complain too much.

My parents have a wood furnace...needless to say, it's going to be a feature in any home I build.

I have never lived anywhere else than here.I think I would go crazy if I did`nt have my fields and woods to walk in.
I guess you get used to anything but can`t imagine having a neighbor just a few feet away.

Not like I'm a chronic whiner.

Me neither, I am the "anti-complainer" but if it got that bad, I would complain.

I grew up with only wood heat. Recently Dad replaced the ancient Vermont Castings stove with one of these, or close to it:
http://www.quadrafire.com/products/stoves/woodStoveDetail.asp?f=4300mill

That thing is just amazing. Incredibly efficient and clean burning, and BOY it puts out heat if you need it to. Pretty, too, with that big glass front window. We spent a lot of time when they first got it just sitting and watching the fire.

OK, so we're easily amused...what's wrong with that?

Heh...considering there's no way to get high-speed internet out there and the power has a tendency to go out every time the wind blows hard, you hafta find ways to compensate. ;-)

Not the best picture, taken Thanksgiving day during a snowstorm.Behind me is the start of the woods.

Closest is a few hundred feet down the road. When I was growing up there was only one house in sight, now there are a few.

Half the liberals in Hollywood would be gone, too, if they'd done what they promised.
