Holiday Display Shows Bleeding Rudolph Hanging From Tree
POSTED: 7:27 am EST December 15, 2005
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A holiday display is getting some negative attention from neighbors. A homeowner's display in the Hunter's Creek subdivision features Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer hanging from a tree.
One red light represents Rudolph's nose and the rest appear to be blood draining from its body.
One red light represents its nose and the rest appear to be blood draining from Rudolph's body. The display represents a hunting technique called field dressing, which is what hunters do to a deer they kill, but many neighbors say it disgusts them.
"It's just kind of sad for the kids, 'cause they see that and it's just not a very good example," said neighbor Kathleen McMahon.
"I don' think it's very nice at all. It's Rudolph and I think that's really nasty," said neighbor Bree McMahon.
The homeowner wouldn't talk to Channel 9 Wednesday night.
Neighbors said they just want the display taken down.

More 'look at me' idiots.
That is absolutely hilarious! LMAO! I love it! I need to do that at my in-laws house!
My kids would be saying, "Dad, does Rudolph salami taste as good as venison salami?"
One day it's Santa holding the decapitated head of a child's doll. Now this. As long as the AP makes news of these displays, the attention seeking copycats will hang them from the trees.
Being an avid deer hunter, I love it.
I know it's wrong, but I find this funny...
"A homeowner's display in the Hunter's Creek subdivision"
Gone are the days when neighbors would gather around with 2x4's and beat this "display" into the dust. Sad.
You must not be a hunter.
I thought the same thing when Fox broadcast this yesterday. First the Post puts it on the front page. Then Fox broadcasts it. They're as bad as the these perverts.

...you might be a redneck.
No respect for others property? You may want to consider a more Christian approach.
It is now a pandemic.....
I like it. Irreverant displays during Christmas never bother me. It's a way to get folks to think a little, I suppose.
That said, I just have two 8' inflatable, lighted snowmen in my yard, along with a string of lights on the roofline. Pretty boring.
These are obviously people who, as children, used to take their clothes off, run naked into the living room and yell "Look at my wee-wee!"
Acts 19:9 - 13
On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, "Rise, Peter; kill, and eat."
I have to admit I got a chuckle out of it. Pretty clever, I think, although I wouldn't want small children to see it.
A field-dressed Rudolph? Now, that's FUNNY!
