If I chose to raise my child as half Jewish, Which she IS...Do we no longer fit in here?

How can someone be "half Jewish"? Either they believe Jesus was the Savior and was resurrected or not. And where is "here"? Do you mean FreeRepublic or do you mean America?

I'm a Christian and also of Jewish descent. This means that I am Christian but refuse to ignore my heritage. When I was a kid me grandfather gave me a dreidle and we had a menorah every year. To each their own. Judaeism is a religion, Hebrew is accurate for the race, but "Jewish" is also used to indicate it.

A child that is born of a Jewish mother *is* Jewish.

A child that is the child of a Jewish father, by Halacha is *not* Jewish, but many people call them half-Jews.

Make sense? If it doesn't, go look up how Hitler determined who was Jewish and who wasn't.

Being Jewish, while not a race, is also not about accepting Jesus. It's a tribe, a culture. . .
