Each year it gets harder and harder to locate Christmas wrapping paper with a Christian theme. You know, the designs we used to take for granted: Babe in a Manger, the Three Wise Men, Peace on Earth, etc.
I thought it would be useful to pool our resources as to what is available out there in stores and on the Web.
After a few hours on Google, I've found two designs that fit the bill:
Clearly my Google-foo skills are deficient. Anyone else have some good sources?
You're purposely distorting what I said. Jews can easily become Christians. Christians can easily become Jews. What they can't do is be BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. Do you understand now?
Judaism came under organized attack in the courts before Christianity did. With Judaism it started in the '70's, with employers firing employees for taking Jewish Holidays off. At least the arguments were more logical. Yes, there were the separation of Church and state ones, most most of the legal arguments back them centered on the fact that the United States is overwhelmingly Christian. Some precedent, huh? Imagine using that same argument today. You COULD use that same argument today, successfully. Most Americans just don't have a memory for precedent. Back in the '70's you saw as many menorahs over Christmas as you did Christmas trees, and a lot of the time they were in the same house because that was the nature of the immigrants and their descendants then. Now...Islam is the religion of choice for the "secularists".
OK I like to think I'm as bright as the next guy, but I fail to see how pointing out that you've been whining, or that tens of thousands of youg non-Jewish Americans giving their very lives to save the Jews from the ovens is antiSemitic.
Clue me(us) in, because I see it as VERY pro-Jewish.
How about the guy who suggested I go to PETCO to get my Hannukah decorations? Am I being a tad sensitive on that one? Or the guy who said I should be thankful because you guys saved a SH**LOAD of us from the gas chamber? Yea, I'm not the one who should be regretting posting.
Hildy, I'm sorry you have to see some of this.
he said SH**TLOAD of Jews from the ovens. Figure it out yourselves. And if we're going tit for tat...how about the Jewish Doctors who came up with the vaccines that saved a SH**TLOAD of people of every persuasion from deadly diseases. To even say something so divisive and stupid and ignorant says something about the poster.
Fer pete's sake...calm down. NOBODY told you to go to Petco...they remarked that it was cute that they had Hannukah pet toys. It's cute if they had Christian pet toys. People (I'm not one of 'em) like to dress up their dogs and cats for the holiday season. Calm down!!
I am Polish-Lithuanian...many, many Polish and Lithuanian Catholics were exterminated by the Nazis. Am I grateful that the US stopped it? Yes.
Thank you for this thread. I've been reusing our couple of decades-old Nativity and angel paper over and over again.
Since you won't listen...you are lying. Produce the post that told you to do that. The poster was merely commenting on cute stuff for pets. Get over yourself!!!
Um...yeah. What part of my being a Christian of Jewish descent, who played with a driedle and celebrated both Hanukkah and Christmas just like hundreds of thousands of other immigrant families did you not understand?
I've been very naive about FreeRepublic. Last week, there was a White Supremist rally down the street from where I live. When I drove by, I rolled down my window and asked the man holding a sign reading "LOVE YOUR RACE"...If you love your race, what race do you hate? Do you hate blacks? He said "not necessarily." I said..Do you hate Jews....he said. YES. I'm beginning to wake up. It's taken me a long time because I didn't want to see it.
yea, right.
Who was that? The deleted post? (cussing...)
I don't get the big deal about religious wrapping paper. Somehow folks, I think its us Christians who have forgotten what Christmas is all about.
HILDY, YOU ARE A LIAR...YOU ARE AN INCREDIBLE LIAR ABOUT FREE REPUBLIC!!!
I AM STANDING UP TO YOU.

Great idea, actually - I had thought of that myself. I just have to get my husband to adjust our website where we do other kinds of business :-).
It is the American "way" after all! :-}
Bully for you.
:)
