Yep, it's expensive. Pecans are slightly less so but still.
Walnuts aren't as expensive as pecans...I may try that someday.
Well, I started getting ready for trip to NO. I found several pairs of "work jeans" at the thrift store. Bought one pair for $2...GAP classics. I swear, they are the best jeans I've ever owned. They fit me perfectly!
I also got a twin-size air mattress at Walmart.
Oh, and I got this MASSIVE nylon duffle bag, bright orange, so I should be able to keep an eye on it during the trip. I took a Sharpie and wrote my last name all over it. I also wrote my name inside my jeans and took the air bed out of the box to pack.
Steve's work is going to lend me a pair of steel-toe, steel shank boots, a pair of heavy duty rubber gloves and a pair of leather gloves too.
Be sure to put identifying marks on those as well. It will be great to have such good quality 'tools' such as those.
