Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It must be the lack of color given the obsession around FR with Ann Coulter's skeletal physique.

Pictures, please. Jen and Rosie have no idea who "Mr. T" is.

Sure we do. He's the guy from the phone commercials...
Believe it or not, there was a Mr. T cartoon when I was little. Frightening, no?

I've heard of Mr. T. It's a geek reference. "A-Team", yes?

"The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife, fool. Stray but a little and it will fail, fool, to the ruin of all."
Sorry, but it just isn't working for me.

*snicker*
Picturing Mr. T as Galadriel is just...not right.

He'd be a much better wizard, I think.

Greetings to the Hobbit Hole, from the Fobbit Hole in sunny ar-Ramadi!
It's pushing 2300 hours here, but I wanted to stop by and thank everyone for the pocket knife, and the good wishes over the past year.
Today I enjoyed a duty-free day, with a Lord Of The Rings Marathon of my very own, and thought of you folks at once.
Thanks again, gang!

Elen Sila Lumen Omentilo! May it be a light for you, in dark places, when all other lights go out.
You're welcome, Old Sarge :~D Stay safe, stay off the road, travel only by day :~D

Somehow, the idea of Mr. T. in Lothlorien - it is to blaspheme!!!
Why not have Sean Cassidy as Legolas, Mickey Rooney as Sam!
Although, Errol Flynn as Aragorn might not have been too bad...
ROFL!

Question for you two...I'm going to make the assumption that you know and like Keith Whitley. I don't own any of his CDs (want...), but I just KNOW one of my brothers would LOVE his music, and I'm having a lot of trouble picking one. Any suggestions? I'll be buying from Amazon, most likely.
I guess I can just close my eyes and point at the screen, but they all sound good to me!
