Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Morning! Watch out for that CO. It can't be good, even if it's mild.
Yawn... I want to go back to bed...

Yup. Doing good so far. Officemate has his winder open. He actually likes it cold. Tomorrow I think I'm going to bring in fuzzy slippers for my cold toesies.

Prayers up for Ann!
Good mornin' everyone!
No comment on the posts made after I left last night. Wearing bananas, cooing to coconuts and dressing up guinea pigs would certainly reveal my broken-ness to all!

Heh...there was a definite look of shock on his face when I found him this a.m. Jr. actually told me last night (he was still watching the game).
Nana reset the trap and basically coated it with cheese so that he couldn't get the cheese without springing it. (he had before).

:-D
I'm on a rampage here at work. Came in to discover that I've been assigned SIXTY-THREE payrolls to process on Tuesday. That is 20+ more than anyone else in the department.
It's just humanly impossible to do that many in one day.
I've been calling my clients to get them to change to Monday or Wednesday next week, so we'll see how low I can get that number.
*shakes head* This place is bizarre. The better the employee you are, the more they dump on you until the very efficiency they admired is gone.

Only funny because it's true!
Can I send you my resume tonight so you can check my update and let me know if it's well-written?
I'll take my time to find the right replacement job. But I can't go on getting home at 7:30pm every night. It isn't fair to the girls (or me).

Sure - I'll look it over :~D
What about the potential transfer to CO or some other site? Would that just be more of the same? or are the issues the people involved?

I've been told that a transfer will not be approved. That comes from the top.
I'm too "valuable". *rolls eyes*
Thus, I'll transfer myself. And I'm seriously considering moving elsewhere. It's a scary thought though. I'll be without any help at all, since my mom isn't going with me.
FReepmailing you the other part...

You'd think if they had the choice of losing you altogether or keeping within the company, they'd vote for option number 2!
Their loss.
Good morning, all!
To: RosieCotton
You'd think, right? But nooooo...
Like the fable of the dog and the bone. Get too greedy and lose it.
Mornin' to you, chica!
