Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Evenin'... jus' tryin ta figger what to do with the evenin. Not much for movies on. Maybe look at a DVD, but for most of them I gotta wait till D is gone.
Fixed up D's laptop with her external drive to do easy one-click backups today. So there's something.

I'm getting ready to have a tequila shot. For no other reason than because it's New Year's.
I went to the supermarket to buy limes but they were sold out. Can you believe that?
Salt, I've got. But no limes.

Tragic. :-)
There must be some sort of emergency lime-delivery agency or something.

Pineapple juice. You can hide a whole fifth in a shot of pineapple juice.

Well, I took the shot. Squirted some lime juice into it to see if that would work.
Answer?
No. Definitely not. LOL!

Well that's sortof like a popper.
Take large shot glass
Pour in tequila
Pour in a little lime juice
pour in some 7-up
Cup your hand over the top and slam it on the table one time hard.
Down it while it's still fizzing.
