In 1945 the term 'gay' meant something altogether different than what it does today.

There is a famous bucking bull named Brokeback V (5) who is now either retired or dead, I'm not sure which, this even sullies his memory. What were these people thinking.

You also know what he said to his wife on their honeymoon.
"Ok baby, roll over and take it like a man."

As a matter of fact I did.

Somedays, when it gets really tense, I let off steam by doing something unforgivably silly, like that post.

'Brokeback Mountain'...fitting. It broke this camel's back.

NO MORE HOMOSEXUAL PREACHING IN MOVIES!

And now a word from our sponsor.

"Arthouse films by defintition don't make tons of money. That's not why they're made."

You're right of course, but just watch and see if the film's lack of success isn't attributed to "right wing Christian" opposition, or "homophobia".

"Just what sort of dinner parties does he go to...."

The liberal elitist kind where not wanting to watch two guys go at it makes you an unsophisticated, bigoted, country bumpkin religious zealot.

Never in a million, and I hope it bombs big time. Who the hell would want to go see a couple pillow biters pretending to be old time west men?? I hope it bombs.

Now, if you want to remake it and have it a normal western, maybe throw in some babes in chaps, then I may raise a brow.... ;^)

Ever wonder why that phrase "edgy" only goes one way?

As in homosexual, anti American, anti religion, but heavens no, not anti Islam?

No one getting "edgy with the promotion of traditional values of Western civilization and the mighty things that it has accomplished over thousands of years vs. the value systems of the other cultures and societies?

How about the pride and dignity of American values, heroes, and accomplishments, and it's traditions vs those that would destroy us?

::chirp:: Nope, nada, nothing there.

This is the current state of "art," and the arts.
