Wait. So my choices are militant Christianity or Militant Islam?
I'll fight them both to preserve the West if I have to.
I'll fight them both to preserve the West if I have to.
Yeah, those pesky militant Christians have been a problem for centuries.
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Matthew 5:44
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
Luke 6:35
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." -- John Adams, October 11, 1798
It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship.
Patrick Henry (1736-1799)
"Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian."
U.S. Supreme Court 1892, Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States
Hmmm. It seems you don't get the point I was making. Here's the quote in context:
"Our love affair with liberalism, multiculturalism, moral relativism, and nihilism has weakened our resolve to fight in order to maintain our traditional characteristics that made us the most successful and freest society in history. The Lefts condemnation of everything white, Christian, and conservative virtually guarantees bringing our society to the brink of destruction. If the West is to survive beyond 2035, it will only be in one form: a militant, conservative, Judeo-Christian society."
Notice the causality: "liberalism, multiculturalism, moral relativism and nihilism" ---> "has weakened our resolve to FIGHT ..."
What is a militant? Someone who is willing to "fight." So the contrast then is a Judeo-Christian society that ISN'T SHACKLED by "liberalism, multiculturalism, moral relativism and nihilism."
You're certainly free to oppose a Judeo-Christian society that expunges these disastrous philosophies, but most conservatives won't.
I'm assuming you're confusing what I wrote with fanatical religiosity but the context of my statement is quite clear that religious beliefs have nothing to do with my definition of a "militant, conservative, Judeo-Christian society."
