Linux isn't Communism - nor is it the #2 desktop operating system.

According to the report I received just moments ago from Dallas, Texas - The Apple Stores are filled with shoppers right now, and the Linux stores aren't.

For desktop PC's, Linux is OK but Windows has vastly more desktops, and Mac OS X (also Open Source based) is rising faster.

If you include embedded processors, such as TiVO, router, smartphone, handheld, audio, video, and pda, Linux is the strong leader.

From an article on LinuxDevices.com:

Which OSes have been in your (or company's) embedded systems during the past 2 years? Which will be used during the next two?

The embedded market covers the greatest volume of shipments.

At the high end, Linux is driving some of world's most powerful computers, such as NASA Lands SGI, Intel For 10,000-processor Supercomputer.

That's ok. It requires full stores in america to compete with the world's slow advance to OSS.

Your words would have greater impact were they describing a computer/OS instead of an over-priced Neiman-Marcus catalog trinket.

:D

PS: I have a Mac too. However, it sits in my office closet collecting dust.
