Are 17 year old considered adults where ever this is?
If this were my 17 year old daughter, I'd be furious with that teacher. And sorry student, she's not that cool after all.
I heard on the radio, here in Texas, that although 17 is considered an "adult"...it is against the law in Texas for a teacher to have sex with a student, regardless of age.
I was out of the house and living on my own by 18. Consequently I was making my own decisions about what I was going to do and where I would be living when I was still 17. I guess is you raise your kids to be immature they will never grow up even if they are 30. If you raise them to be responsible, then 17 is not too young. After all, 17 is only one year away from being able to serve in the military, which is certainly an adult decision to make at 17.
Texas. You have the freedom to consent to sex at 17. Leave at home despite your parents wishes at 17. Drop out of school at 17. etc etc etc.
